Common Cause Maryland focuses its efforts of good government and democracy reforms in state government. Mr. O'Donnell will speak about Common Cause's initiatives in the upcoming General Assembly session as well as the agenda of the national organization.  Previously, Mr. O'Donnell served as the communications director of FairVote Maryland.

The Roosevelt Club meets in the Terrace Room of the Greenbriar Community Center in Greenbelt.  (directions)  Please bring a dessert item for our social time that follows the meeting.

Membership Renewal Time - It's that time of year to renew your club membership.  Our club dues is only $5 ($3 for seniors).  Camaraderie of Cause is certainly worth that alone, but dues are an essential part of our club's budget.  Please see Karl Shipps at our next meeting, or mail your renewal check to the attention of our Treasurer, Karl Shipps Silvia Lewis at the club's mailing address.  Thank you.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Eleanor & Franklin Roosevelt Democratic Club was founded in 1976 to further the principles of the Democratic Party and to elect its candidates in general elections. We also help to organize poll workers. For more information how you can get involved, see the By-laws or contact individual Officers and Committee Chairs.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to any registered Democrat and interested individuals who are too young to vote, no matter where you live. Membership is $5 per year from October through September. For an application, see Join Us!

MEETINGS

General membership meetings are held on every third Friday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Terrace Room, Greenbriar Community Center, 7600 Hanover Parkway in Greenbelt, Md. (directions). Meetings are open to the general public. See the calendar for more details about meeting speakers, Club activities, and Democratic Party events in general. Meetings are rebroadcast on Greenbelt cable channel 71B. Check times in the Greenbelt News Review.

The Executive Board are open to all members. The Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month year-round. The location varies. Contact the club president if you would like to attend.
